" I'm looking for a new fireplace. Can you help me? "
This is the number one question that we get and to be quite honest, is one of our favourite things in the world to hear.
Well, you have come to the right place!
The term fireplace is quite broad so sometimes it helps to look at the main types of fireplaces and the different fuels and styles that are available for each one.

BUILT-IN FIREPLACES
Built in fireplaces are fireplace that quite simply, need to be built into or over a wall in order to be finished. We sometimes call these units zero-clearance units. All that means is that the clearance to combustable materials ( ie existing drywall walls ) is zero.
While some built in units can use existing chimneys these units typically are direct vent units. Direct vent means that they vent directly to the outside and also draw their air for combustion directly from the outside. These are always the most efficient units as they are completely sealed units that don't draw any air from inside your home.
The possibilty of finishing options for built in fireplaces are only limited by your imagination. Traditionally these units were installed with some type of wood mantel or brick. More and more we are installing these in a cleaner, more contemporary style with dryall, tile or stone to become a stunning focal point in your home.
